London will play host city for our inaugural edition of the [Sin]efest film festival. Screening five feature length films and several shorts over 3-days, this will be the largest showcase of Singaporean film in recent years. Curated by rising young Singaporean Director Boo Junfeng, the festival will offer a mixture of narrative, experimental and documentary filmmaking in addition to educational workshops and networking opportunities.
The Sinefest is co-organised by Brian Tan, Creative [Sin]ergy (Project Slingshot) and Steven Flynn, Flynn Film Co. (Taiwan Cinefest, The East Asian Film Forum).
Creative [SIN]ergy is a platform to foster interaction and collaboration amongst its member base and aims to be a representative body for the creative industries amongst both the Singaporean professional and student community in the UK.
The collective wishes to not only be, a network but also assembles collaborators, who share or are motivated by ideas, projects and initiatives to showcase Singapore creativity abroad.
Creative [SIN]ergy is a fully independent non-profit and non-governmental organization that is inclusive and welcomes non-Singaporeans who have an interest in Singapore’s creative community and cultural output.
Flynn Film Co. is an integrated film production, distribution and FX company based in London.
In addition to the company’s ongoing commercial activities it is also active in promoting film literacy in the UK working alongside academic, NGO and Government organisations to deliver the annual Taiwan Cinefest (the largest of its kind in Europe), The East Asian Film Forum and now the Sinefest.
